International Ecumenical Peace Convocation
“Another world IS possible. Glory to God and Peace on Earth” is the theme of the International Ecumenical Peace Convocation organized by the World Council of Churches. The IEPC will take place from the 17th – 25th May 2011 in Kingston, Jamaica. A delegation of Pax Christi International and delegates of Member Organisations will be present.
Four workshops will be convened by Pax Christi International: (1) Reconciliation and Restorative Justice; (2) Peace Spirituality and Theology; (3) Religion and Violent Extremism; and together with the International Peace Bureau (4) Military Spending (including nuclear arms) versus Development Aid (Millennium Development Goals, MDGs).
The delegation of Pax Christi International consists of Marie Dennis, Co-President (USA), Claudette Werleigh, former Secretary General (Haiti), Laura Vargas, former member of the ExCom (Peru), Martha Inés Romero, Latin America & Caribbean Coordinator Pax Christi International (Colombia), Jessica Brown, Youth Coordinator Pax Christi International (USA) and Fr. Paul Lansu of the International Secretariat (Belgium).
Pax Christi Italy will be represented by Gianni Novello, Maurizio Burcini and Tonio dell’Olio. IKV Pax Christi Netherlands will be represented by Peter Paul Ekker and Pax Christi Germany by Christine Hoffmann. Rassemblement œcuménique pour la Paix
« Un autre monde EST possible. Gloire à Dieu et paix sur la terre » : voilà le thème du Rassemblement œcuménique pour la Paix convoqué par le Conseil Œcuménique des Églises à Kingston, Jamaïque, du 17 au 25 mai 2011.
Une délégation de Pax Christi International et d’autres Organisations membres y participera et animera quatre ateliers offerts par PCI: (1) Réconciliation et justice réparatrice; (2) Spiritualité et théologie de la paix; (3) Religion et violence extrême ; et (4) en collaboration avec le Bureau international pour la paix : Dépenses militaires (incluant les armes nucléaires) vs l’aide au développement.

Convocatoria Internacional Ecuménica de Paz
“Otro mundo es posible. Gloria a Dios y Paz en la Tierra” es el tema de la Convocatoria Ecuménica Internacional por la Paz (CEIP) organizada por el Consejo Mundial de Iglesias que se realizará del 17 al 25 de mayo de 2011 en Kingston, Jamaica. Estarán presentes una delegación de Pax Christi Internacional y delegados de las Organizaciones Miembro. Pax Christi Internacional y se ha programado 4 talleres: (1) Reconciliación y Restauración de la Justicia; (2) Paz Espiritual y Teología; (3) Religión y Extremismo Violento; y junto a la Oficina Internacional de Paz (4) Gasto Militar (incluyendo armas nucleares) vs. Ayuda para el Desarrollo.
